Engis Japan was established in April 1983 in Yokohama and, since its inception, has been dedicated to the development of super-abrasive technology. To meet the needs of its customers, Engis has a state-of-the-art laboratory where customers can work with our engineers on their lapping process. Also within this laboratory, advanced lapping and polishing techniques or new materials are constantly being developed. With its ability to accurately grade and characterize diamond powders, Engis is uniquely positioned to develop and customize diamond and other abrasive slurries to meet our customer’s requirements. To complement this technology, our engineers are constantly improving our lapping technology through the development of advanced lapping machines and lapping plates. Whether it be working with major world-class companies in the manufacture of hard disc drive components and LED substrates, or working with small tool and die manufacturers, our goal is the same: to provide our customers with world-class products and systems. Engis will continue to invest in its facilities, products and employees, and we look forward to working with you to meet your lapping process requirements.
